SIA “Vidzemes Mežsaimnieks” is a Latvian company with over 30 years of experience in sustainable forestry and agriculture. Since its establishment in 1996, we have continuously developed our expertise, becoming a trusted partner in forest management and the sustainable use of natural resources.

Our operations are built on responsible management, respect for nature, and a long-term vision. We provide a full range of forest management services—from forest regeneration and tending to timber harvesting and timber marketing. We are committed to ensuring that forests retain their ecological, economic, and social value for future generations.

Since 2007, we have also expanded into agriculture, cultivating a wide range of field crops, culinary herbs, and medicinal plants. Our farming operations combine practical experience, modern technologies, and sustainable cultivation practices to produce high-quality agricultural products.

Working in niche agriculture, we have repeatedly encountered situations for which no ready-made technical solution exists on the market — the sowing, cultivation, harvesting, and processing of specific herbs and medicinal plants require equipment that isn't available within the standard range of agricultural machinery. Building on this practical experience accumulated over the years, the company has developed a custom machine-building service that allows us to design and adapt technological solutions specifically for the needs of niche crops — combining agricultural expertise with technical execution.

Today, we manage 1,260 hectares of forest land and un 540 hectares of agricultural land, ensuring their sustainable development while preserving biodiversity.

Our commitment to quality is further demonstrated by internationally recognized certification standards. Since 2001, the company has held an FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) meža apsaimniekošanas sertifikāts (PBN-FM/COC-014195, licences Nr.
